With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Alex has developed a keen business acumen thanks to his hands-on approach with a diverse portfolio of businesses. He has fostered Renu Environmental from conception to where it is today, building the company and team to ensure a successful launch. Alex has been responsible for developing the company’s corporate strategy, raising capital, value creation planning, branding, and negotiating the terms of technology license. Through his own business ventures and in consulting for various companies, Alex has proven his ability to think outside the box in order to find fiscally efficient and innovative solutions to growing a company and maximizing efficiency and revenue.
Most recently, Alex was an integral part of launching SI Resorts, a new hospitality concept utilizing the brand heritage of Sports Illustrated. Not only did he develop the branding for the new company, Alex helped identify potential project sites and strategic partnerships that would align with and further the brand’s value. Prior to that, Alex purchased an apparel company and by implementing his strategies, was able to increase revenue by 200% and double the profit margins within the first 18 months of ownership. Alex’s first business venture began at age 21, where with a $5,000 loan, he acquired his dealer’s license and started a luxury car dealership and brokerage that he grew and operated for over a decade.
Those who know Alex call him a “jack of all trades” and have confidence in his capabilities to get any task accomplished, even under challenging circumstances. With his unique background and strong team management skills, Alex brings his diverse talents to serve as CEO of Renu Environmental. Alex is excited and determined to grow Renu into a profitable company that is truly making the world a better place.
Previously Dimitri has held C-level positions in medium sized corporations where he led teams in M&A, Business Development, Technical Innovations, and International Development. In Climate Mitigation, his Experience focuses on integrated development of projects converting a Carbon Positive Company to Carbon Neutral or Carbon Negative: from a Conceptual phase, to Setting the Strategy and the Road Map to attain set targets. Once Carbon Negative Status achieved, Registering Project with accredited Registries, quantifying the Carbon Credits generated, and marketing the Carbon Credits in Domestic and International markets.
He has experience managing a portfolio of Decarbonization Projects including but not limited to Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Nature Based and Hybrid Technologies for Clients in Energy, Oil and Gas, Maritime and Medium/Heavy Industries. Mr Rakopoulos has a background in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. He held various positions primarily in Industrial Operations in Oil, Gas and Energy fields both in Europe and the U.S. and is very proficient in cross border projects primarily, U.S., Canada, U.K., European Union, including the setting up from the ground up, of Overseas Operating Centers.
Isaac Bennett is the founder of YouAre: A People Brand. He previously served as Vice President of Sales for Morton Industries, with 14 years of executive sales experience in the mining and manufacturing industries.
His background is in international real estate, private equity and alternative asset investments. His passion is starting businesses and providing pathways for others to do so as well. He has traveled to over 50 countries, having done business in over 100. He loves baseball, music and spending time with his wife, Blake.
Ms. Micuda leads Renu’s business development and marketing efforts. Her marketing background combines experience in brand development and strategy execution in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 organizations. Having started her career in Project Management, Holly leverages her meticulous attention to detail, lifelong love for organizing, and excellent design skills to diligently plan organizational marketing strategies, track metrics, and deliver exceptional results.
Holly lives in Toronto, Canada, and has spent time living throughout Canada, the United States, and France. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University, an International Business Certificate from IESEG School of Management, and a Master of Business Administration from University of Nevada, Reno.
